The One Single Post of Multiple Events

Last few weeks have been quite hectic for us and than we had the Eid holidays which was indeed refreshing. We had to upload, complete & kick start a few of our projects and had a demanding, yet brisk time at Limopalm. I have a list of thoughts to share with you regarding various events during the period, which allows me to include all of them in this, one single post. Thus, I will list them down in brief, one by one.

1st of October was indeed a special day for Limopalm. It was the day our first iPhone / iPad application was released in Apple App Store. With the official release of the Floating Asia App, we declared Limopalm as a Digital Design Agency developing not only websites, but also web applications & Native Applications for iOS & Android. With the excitement of the App release, we forgot to realize one important thing of the day… It was the 1000th day since we started Limopalm, which we later came to know of surprise.

On 15th of October, Limopalm and a number of other very friendly industry related firms and individuals in Maldives had our first discussion /forum of such kind about Databases. Thanks to Leaf Technology for providing us with ample space and equipments, (coffee machine, white board, chairs) which made the meet up interesting and productive. The meet up certainly was successful leading to further meet ups, ideas and sharing of a generous amount of knowledge. We learned new things, built up relations and had a fun & resourceful time which all of us enjoyed.

The discussions followed on each Saturday with topics ranging from Security to Application Architecture. Developers at Limopalm are learners and have a lot to learn with the highly increased growing rate of the industry. These discussions gave a good dose of lessons and information, which helped us in building up our strategies and efficient development techniques.

The last days of October and the first week of November was challenging enough to our team. As I have mentioned above we had to gear up what we had missed earlier to keep pace with the development. Yet the hectic days were indeed useful for us. Again, we learnt new things and had a chance to build up our team skills. With our new team member Shamikh, we certainly felt more strong,  giving us different roles and working together, united. The maximum hours we spent together was immensely fruitful, fun & we all enjoyed every bit of the confidence and determined team spirit we had.

We released our first blog post on 17th of October 2010 with the new version of our website. I still remember it like yesterday how enthused we were with the release. We were filled with the “Limopalm Spirit” which we regard as our most powerful strength. November 2010 followed the Eid holidays like now and we remember how we strengthened our teamwork during the holidays. We feel like as if what goes around comes back around but we thank God that it came around in a good way.

The month of October was indeed special for us. With so many events followed, I couldn’t wait to share. Especially, after so many events and such a relaxing holiday, we feel as if we have fulfilled one of those little milestones with a lot more remaining. With every step ahead, we believe we have yet many other steps to cover in Limopalm’s journey. Eid Greetings to everyone and hope you all had a wonderful holiday.
